The scorer of Morecambe’s late equaliser against Oxford United remains a mystery after no-one in the home changing room claimed it.
Robbie Threlfall was awarded the 91st-minute equaliser from Andrew Fleming’s corner in the 1-1 draw.
Morecambe boss Jim Bentley felt his side were good value for a point, but admitted the scorer’s identity is unclear.
He said: “I shouted up in the dressing room and I was surprised nobody really claimed it.
“I expected everyone to jump up but nobody really came forward.
“We’ve loaded the ball in there and had that little bit of luck we deserve.
“It didn’t look intentional but it’s sneaked in the bottom corner and we’ve got what we deserved.”
