HOCKEY: Summers double is a booster
Scott Summers scored a double as Witney boosted their fight against relegation from Middx, Berks, Bucks & Oxon Regional 1, with a 2-2 draw at home to Eastcote on Saturday.
The result means they are just a point away from Staines 2nd and safety.
A brace from Tom Yallop proved in vain as Witney 2nd went down 8-3 at Division 4 table-toppers Oxford Hawks 4th.
Joe Collins was their other marksman.
Witney 3rd looked doomed to the drop following an 8-0 defeat at home to Division 5 form side Eastcote 5th.
Witney 4th were thrashed 6-0 at Marlow in Division 9.
