Windrush Valley Boxing Clubs Jimmy Doran, 12, made the last four of the England Schoolboy Championship with a super win against Rayleigh’s Luke Brooks on Saturday.

Both boxers produced an accomplished display of boxing, but Doran’s punching accuracy was enough to take the 40kg contest on a points decision.

He faces Michael Dunn (West Ham) at Feltham Community College on Sunday.

Windrush’s Jordan Davis, 12, and Lewis Townsend, 16, travelled to Reading for bouts against the local club.

Davis boxed well and accurate body punches to beat John Cooke.

Townsend boxed Gage Nunn from the home gym in an explosive match.

He held his nerve and discipline against an awkward rival to take the decision on points.
