Bampton’s Alex Dew aims to keep up the good work when he competes in the second round of the BMW Compact Cup Championship at Brands Hatch in Kent on Sunday, April 27.
It followed his double podium in the Donington Park opener.
With an entry of 47 cars in this year’s competition, the round was split into three races, with each driver competing in two of them.
And the Led Lenser team driver was smartly off the grid to take third in race one behind winner Stuart Voyce and Steve Roberts.
He bettered that effort in race two, to finish second to David Drinkwater.
Dew said: “I’m over the moon with not only the result, but also the pace we showed.
“It was a true testament to all the hard work and support over the winter months, and something we’re going to build on.”
