Chipping Norton trainer Charlie Longsdon reflected on his most successful jumps campaign yet as the curtain came down on the National Hunt season on Saturday.
Longsdon took his tally to 78 winners and £496,742 in prize-money when Ice N Easy scored in good style at Southwell on Thursday.
The trainer said: “It seems strange that we have had our last runner for the 2013-14 season, but I could not be more delighted with how it went.”
Ice N Easy bounced back to form to beat Cruchain by eight lengths in a handicap chase over an extended two and a half miles.
And Longsdon said: “He is a right character of a horse who has so much ability and seems to gel with Tommy Phelan.”
The eight-year-old could bid to follow up at either Fontwell or Bangor-on-Dee on Friday.
