India Mae Thompson has been selected for the ICO England kickboxing team to compete at the World Championships in Carrara, Tuscany in Italy, later this year.
The 11-year-old, from Fordwells, near Witney, has only been competing for 15 months and has won seven trophies.
Thompson, a pupil at Burford School, trains at Windrush Kickboxing Club, Witney, where she is coached by ex-British, European and world champion Chris Hoyles.
She also trains with the England squad in Birmingham.
The youngster, who will compete in Tuscany from October 28 to November 3, is being sponsored by Brewers Decorating Merchants, A40 Van Sales, Formec Ground Work and Harris & Thomson Decorators.
