Ashley Rump made hosts Hook Norton pay dearly for an early dropped catch by leading Charlbury to a 106-run victory on the first day of the season.

The opener was put down off just the second ball of the OCA League Division 1 match before going on to make 102 as his side posted 215.

Ollie Hollings then tore into the home side’s top order, claiming 4-32.

Bimalka Liyanarachchi weighed in with 3-28 as Hook Norton mustered 109, Melvin Riley top-scoring with 44.

Coming in at No 9, James Merriman lashed 52 not out as Minster Lovell set hosts Chadlington 174.

Despite 40 from Danny Harding, Chadlington were dismissed for 111, Jack Simpson (3-7) and Eddie Dunn (3-15) doing the damage.

Chadlington 6, Minster Lovell 28 James Brown (50) and Tim Wyatt (48) helped Stonesfield amass 200-5 in their 45 overs against Watlington.

Tom Gubbins then took 6-33 as the visitors were shot out for a mere 88.

The forecast was Snow at Swinbrook as James and Alex starred with the bat in their side’s 170-run victory over West Ilsley in Division 4.

James Snow smashed 183 not out and Alex 68 not out as the hosts racked up 323-3.

Jack Morland then ripped through the visitors with 7-54 as they were dismissed for 153, Rob Lawson contributing 45.

Hanborough defeated Charlbury 2nd by 109 runs, David Rose taking 5-11 and Aaron Holley 4-19.

Earlier, Rob Lovick provided 66 of Hanborough’s 171-7, Eleanor Norton claiming 4-42 for Charlbury.

Gary Rowles captured 6-38 as West Witney bowled hosts Oxford Rescue & Cassington out for 92.

Opener Omar Tariq then scored 42 as the visitors won by six wickets.

Neil Rose’s 138 not out set Hanborough 2nd up for a crushing 234-run win at home to Radley 2nd in Division 8.

Rose’s knock helped his side close on 257-6, before Radley could muster just 23 in reply.

Kane Lewis was unbeaten on 92 as Ducklington were dismissed for 247 in their Division 7 clash at East & West Hendred 2nd.
But the target proved more than enough in a 119-run success.

In Division 10, Jason Tomlinson hit an unbeaten 122 as hosts Westcott 2nd passed Charlbury 3rd’s target of 172 to win by five wickets.
