Chipping Norton trainer Charlie Longsdon made a flying start to the National Hunt season with No No Manolito and Germany Call-ing giving him a brace of winners in the space of 24 hours.
No No Manolito got the Hull Farm Stables handler off the mark for the campaign when making an impressive debut at Fontwell on Friday night.
The four-year-old stormed home by nine lengths from Puisque Tu Pars in a National Hunt Flat Race over a mile and six furlongs under Richard Johnson.
And the following afternoon, Germany Calling hac-ked up by 20 lengths in a two-mile maiden hurdle at Uttoxeter, with Aidan Coleman on board.
Longsdon reported that both horses would now head for their summer holidays, before returning in the autumn.
On the Flat, Chastleton trainer John Gallagher continued his excellent run of form when Ladweb won at Brighton.
The four-year-old made all the running in the hands of Michael JM Murphy to take an extended five-furlong handicap by three-quarters of a length from Secret Milli-onaire.
