Oxford United are searching for a new lead physiotherapist after Andy Lord handed in his notice.
He is the second member of Gary Waddock’s backroom staff to resign in the space of a week, coming after first-team coach Andy Melville opted to call it a day.
Lord, who is likely to remain with the U’s until the end of next month, will part on good terms after almost three years at the club.
He said: “I’ve said to Gary I will help in any way I can if they need it on the recruitment side.
“There’s no bad feelings, it’s just time for a change and a fresh challenge.
“I’m getting out of football for a while and I will be working on a private practice.”
Lord, based in Hampshire, was also keen to praise the staff he will be leaving behind.
He said: “I’d like to thank everyone I’ve worked with and I think we have managed to establish a really good backroom team.”
United are already advertising the position.
