Chipping Norton trainer Charlie Longsdon provided stable jockey Noel Fehily with his first winner since his comeback from injury when Pure Style lived up to his name at Worcester.

Fehily, who had spent two months on the sidelines after fracturing an eye socket in a horrible fall from Superior Quality at Fakenham, struck on his second day back aboard the six-year-old.

He always had the 5-1 shot handily placed in a two-mile handicap hurdle, before surging clear approaching the final flight to storm home four and a half lengths ahead of Dormouse.

Pure Style could now run in the Betfred Mobile Summer Hurdle at Market Rasen on Saturday when Longsdon has also entered Vulcanite, Grandads Horse and Superior Quality in the Betfred Summer Plate.

On the Flat, Chastleton trainer John Gallagher was on the mark with Iseemist at Epsom.

The three-year-old filly showed a good turn of foot under Joey Haynes to beat Desert Command by a length in a six-furlong handicap.
