Christijan Albers has resigned as team principal and CEO of the Leafield-based Caterham team after just five races at the helm.
Albers announced his decision following Sunday’s Italian Grand Prix, with Manfredi Ravetto taking up the former Formula 1 racer’s duties.
Albers only took charge ahead of the British Grand Prix in early July after former owner Tony Fernandes sold the outfit to a consortium of Swiss and Middle Eastern investors.
Meanwhile, Kamui Kobayashi and Marcus Ericsson were 17th and 20th respectively for Caterham team at Monza.
Pastor Maldonado was 14th in an Enstone-based Lotus with teammate Romain Grosjean 16th.
CHIPPING Norton’s Sean Walkinshaw posted two points finshes as the Euro-Formula Open resumed after the summer’s break at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium.
The 20-year-old Campos Racing driver came eighth in a rain-affected race on Saturday afternoon, before taking tenth place in Sunday’s race.
