Chipping Norton trainer Charlie Longsdon plans to step Drop Out Joe up in grade after the gelding made an impressive debut over fences at Carlisle.
The six-year-old put in a fine round of jumping under Noel Fehily to slam Water Garden by nine lengths in a novices’ chase over two and a half miles.
Masterplan is also on course to face tougher opposition after he got off the mark at the first attempt for Longsdon at Worcester.
Fehily was again in the saddle as the four-year-old Irish point-to-point winner had three-quarters of a length to spare over A Good Skin in a two-mile National Hunt Flat Race.
