Alice Powell had to settle for second place in the F3 Cup at Snetterton over the weekend.
The Chipping Norton-based driver missed out to Henry Chart of Enigma Motorsport in both races at the Norfolk venue, trailing the runaway leader by more than five seconds in both races.
Powell, who was driving for Gale Force Racing, came second in last year’s F3 Cup series, but was competing in just her second race weekend in the championship this season.
And despite targeting victory at Snetterton she was unable to keep up with Chart, finishing Saturday’s race five seconds behind.
Powell was unable to improve on her time or position on Sunday, as she again finished second as Chart extended the gap to over the six-second mark.
Powell travels to Shanghai this weekend as she continues her Asian Formula Renault series.
