Tower Hill Ladies ended Banbury United’s eight-match unbeaten run with a 2-0 away win in Southern Region’s League Northern Division 1 on Sunday.
The visitors started the stronger and their pressure was rewarded on 20 minutes when Samantha Bevan-Talbot broke clear and avoided several challenges before firing in.
Tower were indebted to keeper Mel Gilbert who preserved their lead tipping away a long-range shot.
Three minutes from time, victory was sealed when Carly Thomas found the net after a shot from Bevan-Talbot was deflected into her path.
