Stephen Litten scored a treble as Yarnton Res edged a thrilling 4-3 home win against Garsington Res in Oxfordshire Senior League Division 2.

Yarnton started strongly, with James Brazier giving them the lead at the break.

The visitors came out fired up in the second half and levelled on 55 minutes when Connor Foley slotted past the keeper after a great through ball from James Manning.

However, Yarnton restored their lead five minutes later through Litten’s first goal.

He then grabbed a quick-fire double to complete his hat-trick.

Garsington clawed one back 20 minutes from time when Ben Weitzel scored a cracker from outside the box.

And although James Manning scored Garsington’s third goal, Yarnton held on for victory.

A goal from Gary Brooks was in vain as Freeland lost 3-1 defeat at Marston Saints in the Premier Division.

Trailing to strikes from Elliot Powell and Josh Mulvany, Brooks pulled a goal back.

But Jacob Drewitt sealed it for the hosts three minutes from time.
