George Seacole was in top form as he hammered a hat-trick in North Leigh United’s 6-1 home demolition of Carterton in Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1 West on Saturday.

Alfie Saunders, Elliot Bryant and Jacob Hughes also found the back of the net for the Millers, with Adam Bowerman replying for the shell-shocked visitors.

Clanfield were held to a 2-2 draw at home by promotion-chasing Tuffley Rovers.

Jordan Dowdeswell fired the visitors ahead in the 25th minute, but Clanfield hit back through Adam Pendle and Matt Cheetham before the break.

However, Brett James’s strike on the hour ensured the spoils were shared.

Third-placed Old Woodstock Town ended their campaign in emphatic style with a 5-0 win at Woodley Town.

Jack Dunnall put them ahead on 14 minutes and an own goal four minutes later gave Woodstock a 2-0 lead.

Jack Kennedy added a third in the 73rd minute, before Rob Thompson made it 4-0 on 89 minutes.

Thompson completed his brace in injury time to seal the rout.

Yarnton Res eased to a 2-0 win at Oakley United Res in Division 2 of the Oxfordshire Senior League.

What the first 45 minutes lacked in quality, the second made up for in drama.

The away side took the lead when Oakley failed to clear a cross and Matt Robertson hit a sweetly struck volley into the net.

Yarnton sealed their straight-forward victory late on, thanks to a penalty from Ben Coupland.

Woodstock Wanderers kept up the pressure at the top of Crictchley’s Upper Thames Valley League Division 1 with a 4-3 home victory against White Horse Abingdon on Sunday.

Charles Rose led the way for the hosts with a double.

The result saw them close the gap on table-toppers Railway Wheatley to two points with three matches to go and Woodstock still have a game in hand.
