Carterton’s Bob Turley and Tim Jupp lost 25-23 to Banbury Cross’ AJ Docherty and Mark Sykes in the Oxfordshire Indoor pairs final at Chipping Norton.
Both pairings won two ends by five shots.
Turley and Jupp led 17-7, only for Docherty and Sykes to cut the deficit.
With two ends to play, Carterton led 23-19. But Sykes edged ahead, and took the last end by a shot to land the title.
Val Harris won the ladies singles title for the sixth year in succession at Chipping Norton indoor section’s presentation night.
