Henry Box School, Witney, are celebrating a double after adding the Oxfordshire Under 14 Schools’ Cup to their West Oxfordshire League title.
They lifted the cup with a 1-0 win over Cherwell School, Oxford, in the final at Oxford City.
Henry Box went closest to scoring in the first half with a Henry Marcucci header hitting the crossbar and Lewis Westwood and James Tudge both striking a post.
Harry Stanley was then denied by a fantastic save late in the half.
Henry Box made the breakthrough late in the second half when Ryan Holmes’s free-kick from 30 yards flew into the top corner.
Cherwell piled on the pressure, but Andrew Hunt some superb saves to preserve Henry Box’s lead and see them lift the trophy.
Burford lost 2-0 to Wheatley Park in the Under 19 final also at the same venue.
