Chipping Norton trainer Charlie Longsdon kept up his flying start to the new jumps season with easy wins from Shear Rock and Sukiyaki.
Shear Rock opened his account at the eighth attempt at Bangor-on-Dee on Saturday.
The 6-5 favourite stormed clear under Richard Johnson to land a maiden hurdle over two miles and a furlong by 13 lengths from Monbeg Gold.
Sukiyaki broke his duck at the 13th attempt with an equally convincing victory at Stratford a day later.
The 7-1 chance made virtually all the running in the hands of Charlie Poste to slam Seymour Legend by 11 lengths in a novices’ handicap hurdle over an extended two miles and six furlongs.
The six-year-old’s attitude has been questioned in the past, but Longsdon reported that his charge had come back from a break a more focused horse.
