Strugglesrs Charlbury went down to a 78-run defeat at Radley in OCA League Division 1 on Saturday.

Wasim Mohammed hit 85 and Matt Launchbury 44 in Radley’s 226-6.

Three wickets apiece for Abdul Saleem, Ali Malik and Nick Hill helped to dismiss struggling Charlbury for just 148.

Stonesfield lost by seven wickets at home to Westbury who maintained their bid.

Restricting the hosts to 221-5, for whom Tim Wyatt scored 73, Westbury eased home at 225-3 as Tom Wilson hit 99 not out and Olly Tice 56.

Chipping Norton edged to a narrow win against Division 2 leaders Faringdon.

Jim McGeown took 4-31 to bowl the visitors out for 134, and, despite 4-18 from Darren Clarke, Chippy got home at 135-9.

In Division 4, Hailey won a thrilling clash at home to Britwell Salome by one wicket.

Fifteen-year-old Kieron Wood’s 110 and Stuart Symes’s 72 helped Britwell to a formidable 259-5 in their 45 overs.

Superb bowling from Neil Lawrence (5-30) looked to have given Britwell the edge.

But a 104-run partnership between Chris King (78no) and Mark Orpwood (36) got Hailey close and they sneaked home with two balls to spare.

Duncan Macdonald hit an unbeaten 103 to help Kilkenny to a 55-run win at Deddington.

Macdonald’s knock saw Kilkenny to 257-6, and then he claimed 3-18 as Deddington were bowled out for 202 in their reply.

Simon Launder’s 5-7 from eight overs helped Bampton secure a 190-run win at Hanney in Division 6.

Bampton amassed 245-8, Ted Landray top-scoring with 45.

Launder’s haul helped to skittle hosts Hanney out for just 55 in reply.

Hanborough 2nd were unable to cope with Ralph Martin as they lost by 106 runs at Oxenford in Division 7.

Tim Hamp (55) shone for Oxenford in their 171 all out, before veteran Ralph Martin bagged 6-36 as Hanborough were bowled out for 65.

Combe crushed Witney Swifts 2nd by 81 runs in Division 8.

Julian Chaundy led the way with 107 and Matthew Purssell 88 in Combe’s 243-7. Andy Purdie took 5-59.

Chaundy also took 3-38 in Swifts’ reply as they were bowled out for 162.

Kilkenny 2nd won a highscoring clash at home to Sunningwell 2nd by 57 runs.

Gary Doggett (83no) topscored in Kilkenny’s 303-6.

Nigel Lovell smashed 124 not out in Sunningwell’s reply, but they finished short on 246 all out.

Meanwhile, Kilkenny bowed out of the Telegraph Cup after they lost by 64 runs at home to Kidlington.

Kilkenny were dismissed for 160 in Sunday’s semi-final, Lee Keyes their top-scorer with 43.

Dan Farrant was the pick of the Kidlington bowlers with 4-21 off nine overs.

Kidlington didn’t find the target as easy as they expected as they were bowled out for 224.

Muhammad Usman topscored with 78 and Waseem Azad (49no).

Chris May took 3-58 and Daniel Bishop 3-10.
