MINSTER Lovell are favourites for the OCA League Division 1 runnersup spot following a five-wicket win at home to Shrivenham.
Josh Jeffrey and Leigh Smith took three wickets apiece to bowl the visitors out for 144, before Jack Simpson’s 49 helped Minster to 147-5.
Hosts Stonesfield edged past relegated Chadlington by one wicket.
Ed Oakley claimed 4-38 to restrict the visitors to 169-7. Helped by George Redknap’s 48, Stonesfield reached 170-9.
Charlbury’s match away to Cowley Internationals was abandoned after the umpires deemed the pitch and outfield to be in a dangerous state.
Cowley had reached 29-1, but with deep holes in the outfield and several balls leaping off a length, the match was called off.
Eynsham kept alive their hopes of avoiding the drop from Division 3 with a 98-run win at Westcott.
Gary Cook scored 66 and Jimmy Rossiter 58 not out in Eynsham’s 245-4.
But Kristofer Clark was the hero as he took 5-53 to send Westcott tumbling to 147 all out.
In Division 4, Stanton Harcourt leapfrogged Kidlington to the top with a 17-run victory.
Charlie Waite top-scored with 38 in Stanton’s 151 all out, Tom Bozman taking 5-31.
Kidlington fell to 134 all out, Ryan Wastie taking 4-14.
Jack Stimpson’s 5-48 proved in vain for Dorchester as they lost by 104 runs at Hailey.
Cory Kearsey hit 55 in Hailey’s 223 all out, before Sean King (3-7) and Andy Wood (3-29) combined to dismiss the visitors for 119.
Minster Lovell 2nd secured the second promotion spot in Division 5 with a crushing ten-wicket win at Kennington.
Ben Spencer claimed 5-31 and Elliott Crowther 3-1 as Kennington were shot out for 67, before Tim Gush (38no) led Minster to 68-0.
Greg Inge hit 51 to help West Witney to a thrilling one-wicket win at Steventon.
The hosts posted 182-8, but West Witney crept over the winning line at 183-9.
Charlbury 2nd look set for the drop after a 34-run defeat at home to West Ilsley.
Nigel Chubb hit 47 in West Ilsley’s 156-7.
Paul Adams scored 46 in Charlbury’s reply, but they were all out for 122 as Alex Dibble took 4-27.
In Division 6, Bampton edged out visitors Great Horwood 2nd to leapfrog them into second place.
On a wet pitch, Bampton were bowled out for 137, only Ted Landray (85) getting going as Neil Taylor claimed 4-29.
Horwood were restricted to 134-7 in reply.
Witney Swifts 2nd wrapped up the Division 8 title after beating hosts Minster Lovell 3rd by 52 runs.
Luke Dick claimed 4-22 to help dismiss Swifts for 141, Dave Woodward hitting 33.
Graeme Woodward claimed 3-21 as Minster were bowled out for 89.
Combe beat visitors Wootton & Boars Hill by five wickets in their last game, but could not muster enough points to leapfrog them into the second promotion spot.
They shot Wootton out for a paltry 44, Julian Chaundy taking 5-11.
But Combe lost five wickets in reply, meaning they finished one point short of going up.
Chadlington 2nd were relegated after a seven-wicket defeat at home to Ducklington.
Kilkenny 2nd landed the Division 9 title with a seven-wicket home win against Marcham 2nd.
James Floyd took 4-27 as the visitors were shot out for 88.
Robbie Craddock (34) and Kevin Finnemore (31) led the way for Kilkenny as they reached 89-3.
