ROMAIN Grosjean said it was pleasing to end an emotional weekend with a points finish in Sunday's Brazilian Grand Prix.
The Frenchman finished eighth at Interlagos, while Enstone-based Lotus teammate Pastor Maldonando was tenth.
They were both promoted a place after Williams' Felipe Massa was disqualified for his right-rear tyre temperature being above the permitted maximum before the start of the race.
Grosjean, who qualified 14th, was pleased to end a difficult weekend on a high after the terrorist attacks in his home country on Friday evening.
The 29-year-old said: "It was a fun race, and I enjoyed going through the field with some nice overtaking manoeuvres with our aggressive race strategy.
"It was quite hard to follow the cars but we had good power to overtake into turn one.
"It has been an emotional weekend so it is good to be back in the points."
Maldonado, starting from 15th on the grid, was the only driver outside the top ten on the medium tyre, and enjoyed the challenges the set-up presented him.
He said: "It was a very active race with lots going on.
"At the end we were defending with harder tyres from those with softer and fresher ones so it was difficult to keep tenth place, but from where we started it was a good race."
