STEVE Naylor triumphed at the Wychwood Brewery Cotswold Classic Witney 10 mile race.

The Bedford & County runner, who lives in the town, won in an impressive time of 54mins 32secs, ahead of James Bolton, of Woodstock Harriers, who was the first vet 40 home.

More than 300 runners took part in the event, hosted by Witney Road Runners, which started and finished at the Kings School, in New Yatt Road.

Frankie Snare, of Witney, was the second lady home in 36th overall.

Eynsham’s Jacky Pinnock topped the vet ladies 55 category, while Woodstock’s Bryan Vaughan won the vet men’s 60 age group.
