In the latest column written by Oxford United fans, GRAHAM BUTLER, asks for questions he can put to Thames Valley Police

OXVOX are in the process of setting up regular liaison with Thames Valley Police about the policing of Oxford United matches.

I’m acting as the contact point with TVP and have held a first meeting, and a report of what was discussed will be coming out very soon.

Many fans will have questions of their own about aspects of how games are policed.

You might want to know, for example, who decides the level of policing and who pays for it?

Or why are fans sometimes aware of being filmed at matches?

Or how are decisions made about changing kick-off times for certain matches – and whether the club or TVP makes these callss, and on what basis.

There are also areas such as away fan allocations – how they are managed on the day, or the roles of stewards, police and other security staff at matches.

We’re planning to ask the questions frankly and communicate the answers back to fans.

We can’t promise to cover everything, or that you’ll necessarily agree with the answers we report.

But if you have any questions please send them to enquiries@oxvox.org.uk and we’ll raise them with TVP.
