HANBOROUGH claimed their place in the final of the Witney & District FA’s Fred Ford Cup with a 6-0 thrashing of Carterton Town A, writes HARRY ROSE.

Aston Leach and Jack Morton bagged a brace apiece, while Joey Burgess and Craig Johnson were also on target as the Premier Division high-flyers eased to victory.

Charlbury Town extended their lead at the top of the Premier Division to 13 points with a comfortable 5-0 trouncing of Minster Lovell.

Warwick Tompkins grabbed a hat-trick and there were also goals for Steve Hunt and Gareth Benfield.

Jack Wood struck twice to help Hailey to a 2-1 victory at Eynsham SSC, for whom Andy Stratford replied.

Spartan Rangers moved up to third in the table with a 3-1 home win over Kirtlington.

Ryan Moran-Ross scored for the hosts, but a Dave Cross double and Alex Thomson’s strike won it for Spartan.

Witney Royals remain rooted to the foot of the table after going down 3-0 at home to Combe thanks to goals from Simon Gale, Ethan Penney and Matt Baker.

Milton picked up their second Division 1 win of the season in style as they romped to a 5-1 win at home to FC Nomads.

Alex Ayres struck twice and James Rawlings, Jim Littlewood and Leigh Hilary were all on target for Milton, while Chris Laurence scored the consolation for Nomads.

Second-placed Carterton Rangers were held to a 2-2 draw at third-placed Aston.

Matt Brown and James Fleming scored for the hosts, with Mykel Ryan and Carl Shirley on the mark for Rangers

Gavin Walton hit a double as Chadlington won 4-0 at home to Stonesfield, with Matt Chadwick and Jarvis Morley also among the goals.

Unbeaten Tower Hill Stars maintained their superb form at the top of Division 2 with a 3-1 away win over third-placed Hanborough Res.

Mark Stinchcombe scored for Hanborough, but goals from Will Smaldon, Kev Davies and Craig Mayes won it for Stars.

A Jamie Harris double helped Tower Hill to a 3-1 win at Kingham All Blacks.

James Scott netted the away side’s third, while Chris Perrott scored a free kick for All Blacks.

Michael Bason, Stu Morrison, Mark Wright, Sam Wright and Bernie Crumlish were all on target as Witney Wanderers won 5-0 at Hailey Res.
