NICKY Law says Bradford City must not think Oxford United have switched off for the summer as they bid to avoid a hat-trick of defeats against Michael Appleton’s side this season.

The U’s ended the Bantams’ unbeaten start to the Sky Bet League One season with a 1-0 win at the Kassam Stadium in October, following it with a 2-1 Checkatrade Trophy success three months later.

But Bradford are still in the promotion hunt and a victory at Valley Parade today would virtually guarantee a play-off place.

Law (pictured) stressed City have to be wary of United and sees the previous meetings as giving the hosts plenty of motivation to settle the score.

He told the Telegraph & Argus: “Oxford will be confident knowing they’ve beaten us twice but we’re not worried about that. I thought we were unlucky to lose both.

“There’s nobody in the league who I’ve felt have been better than us.”

He added: “But you can face those sides in the middle with nothing to play for and maybe drop your focus, thinking they are already on holiday.

“That’s when you get the shock results.

“It’s a difficult game, but one we’re looking forward to. We definitely don’t want them winning a third time.”
