CHARLIE Fisher had a superb day for Witney Swifts as he hit a century and took a five-wicket haul, helping his side to an 18-run win at Clifton Hampden in OCA League Division 2 on Saturday.

Fisher struck 101 and George Seacole 96 not out to lead Swifts to

254-4.

Clifton chased well, but finished short on 236 all out as Fisher took 5-36 and Seacole 3-58, Andrew Pynegar hitting 66 for the hosts.

Chipping Norton posted a comfortable 89-run win at Eynsham.

Richard Ferley hit 58 out of Chippy’s 217-8, and then Rhys Warner-Carter claimed 4-25 as Eynsham were shout out for 128 in reply.

Charlbury stayed in second place in Division 1 after a 55-run win at home to Stonesfield.

Atif Liaquat took 5-46 to restrict the hosts to 158 all out, but 4-26 from Bim Liyanarachchi and 3-31 from Stuart Atkins helped to dismiss Stonesfield for only 103 in their reply.

In Division 3, Stanton Harcourt fell to a six-wicket defeat at home to Risinghurst.

Ripon Masih claimed brilliant figures of 6-28 to help dismiss Stanton for 143, Joel Graham hitting 53.

Martin Kalyan, who had earlier taken 3-45, then scored 88 to lead Risinghurst home at 147-4.

Hanborough lost by one wicket at home to Tetsworth in a nail-biter.

Rob Lovick’s 50 saw Hanborough set 188-8, Nikunj Patel taking

4-25.

Kamlesh Ukarda then scored 63 not out as Tetsworth edged in at 189-9.

Kilkenny crashed by seven wickets at home to Kidlington.

The hosts posted 183-8, Chris King top-scoring with 57.

Sam Rodway (67) and Sahil Kalyan (62no) then led Kidlington to 185-3.

Bampton went down by eight-wickets away to Brill, who leapfrogged them into second place in Division 4.

Restricting the west Oxfordshire side to 143 all out, Brill made light work of the run chase as Andy Wynd (70) and Colin Young (48) saw them to 145-2.

HAILEY & West Witney edged out visitors Britwell Salome by three runs in a thriller in Division 5.

Omer Tariq top-scored with 49 in Hailey’s 201-9, Neil Lawrence taking 4-48.

Sean King then took 4-32 as Britwell fell just short on 198 all out, despite 52 from Ali Khushi.

Combe suffered a massive setback as they crashed to a seven-wicket defeat at home to Radley.

Without their talismanic batsman Robbie Nicholson, Combe stumbled to just 85 all out, allowing Radley to ease to 87-3 for a comprehensive victory.

In Division 6, Martin Elliott returned outstanding figures of 8-21 to help hosts Chipping Norton 2nd to a 12-run victory over Wootton & Boars Hill.

Earlier, Chippy had been dismissed for only 130, but Elliott’s haul saw Wootton shot out for 118 in their reply.

Charlbury 2nd beat hosts Tetsworth 2nd by 50 runs.

Charlie Sinton top-scored with 64 in Charlbury’s 199-9, and then Tim Jarvis, returning to the club from Shipton, took 3-27 to help dismiss Tetsworth for 149.

Stanton Harcourt 2nd beat hosts Stonesfield 2nd by four wickets in Division 7.

Scott Hambridge claimed 5-29 in Stonesfield’s 187 all out, before Jason Fuller (71) and Jake Souch (51no) saw Stanton over the line at 188-6.

Ben Horne’s fine figures of 6-54 were in vain as Witney Swifts 2nd lost by 38 runs at home to Middleton Cheney 2nd.

Division 8 North leaders Westcott 2nd suffered an eight-wicket defeat at home to Chadlington 2nd.

They were shot out for 127 as William Foster took 4-10.

After that, Liam Gilbert hit 52 not out as Chadlington eased home at 130-2.
