WES Bartlett slammed a career-best 181 not out to lead Oxford Downs 2nd to a massive 240-run victory at home to East Oxford in Division 3 of the Cherwell League.

The opener carried his bat in a sensational knock, bringing up his century and 150 with sixes.

Bartlett’s huge score came off 144 balls with 28 fours and five sixes.

In reply, East Oxford had no answer to Steve Roberts (5-36), finishing on 100-9.

Oxford Downs moved up to second in Division 1 as they beat Twyford by 89 runs.

Frankie Crouch (45) and George Sandbach (39) helped Downs to 214 all out in the last over.

Twyford were tumbled out for 125, thanks to Amin Rafiq (3-29).

Lawrence Brock returned magnificent figures of 6-29 to help Great & Little Tew to an eight-wicket success at home to Cropredy in Division 2.

Brock’s super haul helped to dismiss Cropredy for only 140, Luke Cherry (39) and Russell Beckett (37) the only batsmen to look comfortable.

Skipper Markus Jeacock then hit 52 not out and Tim Wyatt 34 to see Tew home to a comfortable win at 142-2 in the 31st over.

Steve Dobson smashed a brilliant 108 as Sandford St Martin saw off struggling visitors Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts by 57 runs to move clear of the bottom two teams.

Dobson’s ton helped Sandford post a formidable target of 303-9 in their 50 overs, with Tom Goffe adding 54.

Nondies replied with an excellent 98 from Chris Day and 38 from Aadam Samiullah, but they were dismissed for 246, Tom Rothwell taking 3-41 and Goffe 3-59.

Sam Cross scored a maiden league century as Witney Mills enjoyed a seven-wicket win at home to Tiddington 2nd in Division 4.

Tiddington posted 196 all out as Jacob Davies hit an unbeaten 101 and Ollie Burney took 4-46.

Cross then scored 103 and Peter Claridge 60 to lead Mills in at 197-3 with more than 12 overs to spare.

Minster Lovell’s top-of the-table clash at Stokenchurch ended in a draw.

Batting first, Minster rattled up 296-8, Jack Simpson hitting 67 and Connor Tinsley and James Merriman 62 apiece.

Stokenchurch lost regular wickets in reply and eventually shut up shop to hold on at 242-9.

Paul Hemming took 6-44, but Shipton-under-Wychwood 2nd lost by two wickets at Bletchley.

Ricardo Brown took 5-29 as Shipton were bowled out for 146 in the final over.

Hemming shone with the ball for Shipton, but the hosts edged in at 150-8.

An unbeaten maiden league century for Ryan Frost (100no) helped Division 7 leaders Minster Lovell 2nd to a nine-wicket win over Cublington.

Ben Halsey took 5-45 as Cublington were bowled out for 164.

Frost (100no) and Felix Wright (52no) then shared a second-wicket stand of 135 to steer Minster to a comfortable success at 168-1.

Five wickets apiece for Sam Pearce and Julian Wright helped Horley 2nd to a 57-run win at home to Witney Mills 2nd.

Horley were bowled out for 181 in the 44th over, before Pearce and Wright ran through the Mills card for 124.
