LEADERS Charlbury won their crunch top-of-the-table clash at home to East & West Hendred by 32 runs to stretch their lead in the OCA League Division 1 title race.
Ian Johnston shone for the hosts, scoring 39 in Charlbury’s 168 all out, Mark Baring taking 4-34.
Johnston then claimed 5-31 in 12 overs as Hendred were bowled out for 136.
Stonesfield suffered as Mohammed Shafqat took 6-26, bowling out for 88 to help hosts Wolvercote to a 57-run.
Earlier, Tim MacIntyre top-scored with 54 in Wolvercote’s 145 all out, Ali Malik taking 4-28.
Division 2 leaders Witney Swifts fell to a 72-run defeat at home to Marsh Gibbon.
James Scott hit 42 and Sat Vadivale 34 to help Marsh to 203-7.
Omar Hussain (53) led Swifts’ reply, but they were all out for 131.
Chipping Norton lost to Clifton Hampden by eight wickets.
Darren Clark (4-27) and Julian Hitchman (3-22) combined to dismiss Chippy for 106, before Matthew Burton hit 44 not out and Morley Benson 37 not out to take Clifton to 110-2.
Eynsham eased to a seven-wicket win at home to Broughton & North Newington.
Broughton posted 181-6 Stuart Walton top-scoring with 64 not out. Gary Cook (54no) and Chris Bowles (52no) then led Eynsham to 184-3.
Chadlington saw off hosts Wootton & Boars Hill by five wickets after dismissing them for 142.
James Stoddart then hit 45 not out and Mark Lambert 35 in Chadlington’s 145-5.
In Division 3, Richard Brown returned brilliant figures of 7-27 as Hanborough beat Risinghurst by 76 runs.
Hanborough had earlier been dismissed for 178, Joseph Burgess hitting 56.
Brown’s seven-wicket haul then ensured Risinghurst were shot out for 102.
Stanton Harcourt beat visitors Kidlington by four wickets.
Chasing Kidlington’s 156 all out, Stanton reached 157-6, Luke Pettifer top-scoring with 43 not out.
Edward Landray’s fine century saw Bampton to a formidable 248-8, setting up a 173-run victory at Swinbrook in Division 4.
Andrew Wingfield Digby took 5-29 for Swinbrook, who fell for 75 as Matthew Williams took 4-26.
Kane Lewis grabbed a six-wicket haul as Ducklington hammered visitors Steventon by 225 runs in Division 5.
Ducklington racked up a formidable total of 271-8, Liam Day starring with 81 and Mithun Sortur taking 5-49.
Lewis took 6-15 and George Townsend 4-28 as Steventon were skittled out for 46 in reply.
In Division 7, it was Tom Valentine’s day as he hit a century and took five wickets in Kilkenny 2nd’s 189-run win over Eynsham 2nd.
He struck a superb 101 and Asif Chaudhary 65 as Kilkenny racked up a massive 301-6.
Valentine then completed a superb all-round performance with 5-20 to send Eynsham tumbling to 112 all out.
Aizaz Khan struck an unbeaten century for Yarnton & Cowley 2nd as they crushed visitors Stonesfield 2nd by 120 runs.
Khan’s scintillating 119 not out saw Yarnton to 229-7.
Jordan Newman hit 60 in Stonesfield’s reply, but he had little support as they were bowled out for 109.
Division 8 North leaders Chadlington 2nd marched on with an 18-run win at home to Wolvercote 3rd.
Glenn McCallum’s 77 not out led Chadlington to 171-7.
McCallum then took 3-37, as Wolvercote were all out for 153.
