JAMES Bolton has been crowned the Mota-vation Series men’s champion.

The Woodstock Harrier needed to win the finale in Oxford.

Bolton was seventh at one point, but made up 12 seconds to claim victory.

He ended up on equal points with Les Newell, but won on head-to-head, with the Oxford City runner ruled out due to injury.

Eynsham’s Kate Williamson retained her veteran 65 title.

Meanwhile, Witney’s Jeanette Ashton won silver in the masters heptathlon event in Sheffield.
