JOLYON Palmer is hoping to create more good memories at the Marina Bay street circuit in Sunday’s Singapore Grand Prix.

The Briton, who drives for the Enstone-based Renault team, has won at the street track in the GP2 series.

He said: “I love Singapore as it’s a highly unique event under the lights. I’ve won there in the GP2 series and it was one of my best wins.

“In fact, I raced there two years running and both years were very good.

“Hopefully I can create more good memories.”

l CHIPPING Norton-based SWR will join the TCR UK Championship for its inaugural season in 2018.

Running two Honda Civic Type-R cars, the team also plan to continue their GT4 endurance racing programme.

There are TCR series across the world in Asia, Italy, Portugal and Russia.

Team owner Sean Walkinshaw said: “We’ve looked at the cars available and believe the Honda is an excellent package.

“As with everything SWR does, we will be giving maximum effort and aiming to be competitive from the outset.”
