Conor Taylor earned a well-deserved swimmer-of-the-match award at the final round gala of this year's Milton Keynes Junior League competition at Biggleswade.
Taylor won the 12 & under boys' backstroke to take the accolade, with the runner-up votes being shared between Lauren Whitehill, who posted personal bests in the freestyle and backstroke, and Redd Pratley, winner of the 9 & under boys' breaststroke.
It was tough going for Witney's youngsters after a number of late withdrawals, as they finished in sixth place.
Result: 1 Staines 234pts, 2 Wickham 214, 3 Maidenhead 165, 4 Chelsea & Kensington 159, 5 Flitwick 127, 6 Witney 118.
