A terrific goal from Sean McKeon saw Clanfield to a final-day 1-0 victory over Easington Sports in Division 1 West.

The result was all the more pleasing as Clanfield played out the last 35 minutes with ten men after the dismissal of Ashley Johnson.

Clanfield started well, McKeon seeing an effort well saved by John Okole.

Moments later, McKeon's header whistled past a post, and he then teed up Dean Barker, who fired an effort over the bar.

In the second half, Clanfield were reduced to ten men after Johnson saw red for a reckless tackle on Callum Convey.

But Clanfield went in front soon after when McKeon turned on the edge of the box, before hitting a volley into the top corner.

With time running out, keeper Chris Brain had to be on his toes to make a superb save from an Ally Robinson header.
