Witney's youngsters just missed out in their defence of the Reade Trophy at Windsor.
With the lead constantly changing throughout the evening, it was only a couple of ‘speeding tickets’ which separated the top four teams at the end.
Ten-year-old Larissa Dalgarno produced a super swim to win the 11 & under girls’ freestyle and took the club’s swimmer-of-the-match award – the runner-up votes being shared between Matthew Floyd (winner of the 11 & under boys’ butterfly) and Finn Dawkins (second and third in the 15 & under boys’ backstroke and individual medley).
Other Witney winners were Amy-Louise Harris (individual medley), Georgia French (backstroke), Megan Sulley (breaststroke), and Rowan Prosser (freestyle).
Result: 1 Aylesbury & Bracknell 148pts, 2 Witney 143, 3 Henley 142, 4 Teddington 89.
Witney personal bests: A Felstead (butterfly), A Foggett (IM), D Frost (butterfly), S Webster (breaststroke), M Colling (IM), G Kendall (backstroke), S Bark (freestyle).
