SWIMMING: Brilliant Goode is star of show

Maddie Goode was swimmer of the match as Witney & District finished second in the third and final round of the Milton Keynes Junior League in Aylesbury.

Goode won her accolade for her storming swim in the 10 & under 50m freestyle.

Runner-up was Merel Hijink for her win both the nine years 25m freestyle, plus efforts in relays for both girls.

The team were ranked top of the league after the first two rounds, but finished as runners-up to finish second overall in the league.
