Mark Tyrrell and Elysia Ridley took the 10K honours at the Ascott-under-Wych-wood Charity Run.
Tyrrell (Eynsham Road Runners) was the first man home, completing the multi-terrain course in 38mins 51secs.
Ridley (Witney Road Run-ners) was fourth overall and first lady, clocking 41.01.
Tyrrell held off Simon Pritchard (Banbury Harr-iers) by 1min 25secs for the title, while Woodstock Harriers’ Brian O’Connor was third in 40.51.
O’Connor’s daughter Jessica won the 5K event in 21.11.
Meanwhile, the Oxford Mail Cross Country League season begins on Sunday with round one taking place at Ascott-under-Wychwood.
Woodstock Harriers’ Ja-mes Bolton is likely to carry local hopes in the men’s competion, while 2011-12 ladies’ champion Elysia Rid-ley (Witney Road Runners) is returning after a year away.
Races start at 9.55am.
