Witney's Steve Naylor overcame a fall on the second lap to continue his fine cross country season with a 17th-placed finish at the English National Championships.
Naylor had never finished in the top 30 in the event at Donnington Park, Leicestershire before this year.
He finished in a time of 43mins 58secs.
Meanwhile, Witney Road Runner Dan Blake finished 17th at the Bourton 10k.
Clubmate Matthew Lock was the second runner home in the junior category, finishing in 101st and a time of 40.01.
Witney's Rachel Stanley-Evans and Sally Howard were the second and third veteran 40 ladies to cross the line.
- The last round of the Oxford Mail Cross Country League takes place at RAL Harwell on Sunday.
Under 20, senior and veteran men runners compete in an 8,500m race at 11.25am, before the women’s event across 6,500m starts at 12.05pm.
