WOODSTOCK Harriers took second place in the veteran men’s event at the Oxfordshire County Road Relays in Abingdon.

Eynsham claimed third in the senior men’s race, in which Daniel Lewis set the fifth fastest individual time, while Witney clinched the same position in the veteran ladies.

l WOODSTOCK'S James Bolton finished ninth and third veteran 40 in the first round of the Mota-vation Series in Charlton-on-Otmoor.

Clubmate David Cantwell was the third veteran 50 home in 29th, while Witney’s Eric Cugnet, who crossed 46th, was inside the top three in the under 19 category.

Male and female runners raced together and Sophie Carter, from Woodstock, was the third female home in 72nd.

l REBECCA Campbell, of Woodstock, finished as the first female at the Chalgrove 10k in 34th overall.
