Richard Brown captured 7-44 as Hanborough won by 73 runs at Wootton & Boars Hill in the quarter-finals of the OCA League Telegraph Cup on Sunday.

After amassing 245-9, Daniel Simpson top-scoring with 65, Hanborough bowled out the opposition for 172, with Brown taking centre stage.

Minster Lovell 2nd were rolled over for 159 as they lost by 59 runs at Westbury 2nd in the Steve Dixon Memorial Cup quarter-finals.

Jordan Ayris proved a thorn in Minster’s side.

He made 80 and Michael Markham 68 as the hosts reached 218-5.

Ayris then took 5-15 as Minster came up short.

In a tight affair at Carterton, home side Kilkenny narrowly succumbed to Garsington 2nd.

The visitors’ Samuel Wharton claimed 5-18 as the hosts were shot out for 112.

Wharton then capped a fine day with 36 as his team chased down the target with two wickets remaining.
