Jack Taylor described hitting his maiden first-class century for Gloucestershire as an “amazing feeling”.
The 23-year-old, who played for Great & Little Tew CC, achieved the feat in the LV= County Championship Division 2 game against Derbyshire at Derby on Monday.
He hammered 120 off 139 balls, with 12 fours and two sixes, as Gloucestershire made 329 in their first innings.
He said: “It was good – an amazing feeling.
“My parents (Kevin and Angeline) were there as well, which was quite nice.”
