Witney Swifts crashed out of the OCA League Airey Cup at the first hurdle as visitors Cowley Internationals got off the mark on Saturday.

Holders Cowley were indebted to a superb all round display from Hajji Sadiqi, who took 4-42 and scored a century to book his side’s place in round two.

Swifts posted 211-9 as Grant Madden hit 50 and Charlie Fisher 49, but Sadiqi then hit 102 and Zabi Saeed 49 not out as Cowley sealed a five-wicket victory at 212-5.

Andy Crawford made 88 and Tim Wyatt 71 as Stonesfield racked up 250-4 in their 104-run win at home to Charlbury.

The visitors were all out for 146 in their reply as Patrick Gardner took 4-32 and Peter Searle 3-3.

Division 2 outfit Chipping Norton gave a good account of themselves at home to Westbury, but lost by six wickets.

Richard Ferley (64) and Ian Widdows (49) helped Chippy to 177-7, but an unbeaten 93 from Paul Atkins saw Westbury to victory at 179-4.

Kilkenny beat Eynsham by nine wickets after skittling their hosts for 53 in the first round of the Telegraph Cup.

Bradley Bryant took 5-17, and then Josh Bishop hit a quickfire 32 not out to see Kilkenny to victory.

Hanborough succumbed to a 126-run defeat at home to Wolvercote.

Ben Proctor hit 93 and Sahil Agarwal 50 in Wolvercote’s 216-9, before Barkat Ahmed took 7-27 as Hanborough were shot out for 90.

John Woodward took 5-26 and Luke Pettifer 3-3 as Stanton Harcourt skittled hosts Deddington out for just 30. Harcourt then eased home without losing a wicket.

Minster Lovell 2nd went through to the second round of the Steve Dixon Cup with a 41-run win at Garsington 2nd.

Zac Jarvis hit 67 and Archie Spittles 42 in Minster’s 185 all out, Dennis Fellows taking 5-45.

Lawrence Allen then took 3-30 as Garsington were held to 144-9 in reply.

Chipping Norton 2nd lost by 67 runs against Faringdon 2nd.

Oliver Burton-Taylor hit 36 in the hosts’ 136 all out, before Simon Cornish (3-4) and Rob Smith (3-23) combined to dismiss Chippy for 69.

Meanwhile, Ducklington reached the second round of the OCA League’s Osberton Radiators Cup with a 66-run win over visitors Stonesfield.

Elliott Bryant scored a maiden century (105) as Ducklington posted 214 all out against the visitors, for whom Dan Taylor returned superb figures of 8-51.

Stonesfield were all out for 148 in reply as Jacob Hughes took 5-22. Swinbrook 2nd crashed to a ten-wicket defeat at Wolvercote 2nd.

Mark Reed made 61 in Swinbrook’s 113 all out, but David Gilham (66no) and Chris Babbs (32no) eased Wolvercote to 115-0.

Minster Lovell 3rd lost by 110 runs at home to Radley 2nd. Simon Huxtable hit 71 in Radley’s 200-7, before Richard Cook took 3-14 and Darren Jones 3-17 as Minster were all out for 90.

Gary Doggett top-scored with 70 to see Kilkenny 2nd into the Centenary Cup second round with a sevenwicket win at Sunningwell 2nd. The hosts made 136-9, before Doggett and Daniel Floyd (43no) led Kilkenny to 137-7.

Minster Lovell’s Division 1 clash with Westbury ended in a tie on Sunday. Minster were all out for 101, Nathan Harris scoring 35 and Graham Judd taking 5-23.

Westbury also made 101 also with Paul Atkins scoring 40 and Jack Simpson taking 4-5.

Joe Fullerton smashed a century to help Hailey to a 79-run Division 4 victory at Britwell Salome.

Fullerton’s 102 and Jack Wood’s unbeaten 56 helped Hailey to 276-8, before Sean King claimed 4-45 to restrict Britwell to 197-5.
