Minster Lovell marched on at the top of OCA League Division 1 after romping to a ninewicket victory at home to Oxenford on Saturday.

In a match reduced to 28 overs per side by the wet weather, Minster dismissed their visitors for 87 as Jack Simpson took 4-6 in his 3.5 overs.

Minster wasted little time reaching their target, despite losing captain Nathan Harris for a duck, as they raced to 88- 1. Harry Ebsworth made 50 not out and Simpson 31 not out.

Chadlington went down to a 92-run defeat at Great Horwood who kept up the pressure at the top.

Dale Armitage (56no) and Sam Willett (56) led Horwood to 175-3 in a rain-reduced clash.

Matthew McStraw then returned figures of 5-35 to restrict Chadlington to 83-8.

Hosts Stonesfield lost by seven wickets to Radley in another match reduced in overs by rain.

Stonesfield managed only 92-8 in their 25 overs, before Matt Launchbury struck 46 not out to steer Radley to victory at 93-3.

In Division 2, Chipping Norton failed to cope with bowler Sat Vadivale as they lost by 46 runs at Marsh Gibbon.

Matt Mead’s 38 led Marsh to 124-8, Mark Jarvis taking 6-40, before Chipping Norton were then shot out for 78, Vadivale returning impressive figures of 4-9.

Eynsham went down to a 70-run loss at second-placed Wolvercote in their Division 3 encounter.

Richard Oliver top-scored with 45 in Wolvercote’s 160-8, which proved beyond Eynsham, who were dismissed for 90, Rhys Davies taking 3-25.

Five wickets for Richard Brown helped Hanborough to a five-wicket win away to Westcott.

The hosts fell to 90 all out as Brown took 5-13 and Jonathan Ayris 4-10.

Rob Lovick then hit 30 not out to lead Hanborough to 91-5.

Brothers Josh and Dan Bishop starred for Kilkenny in their 83-run victory at Britwell Salome in Division 4.

Josh struck 75 and Dan 34 to help Kilkenny to 172 all out, Neil Lawrence taking 4-26 and Adam McConkey 4-35.

McConkey top-scored with 30 in Britwell’s reply, but the hosts were skittled out for only 89.

Meanwhile, Stanton Harcourt eased to an eight-wicket win at home to Deddington in OCA League Division 4.

A superb spell from Luke Pettifer (5-20) and Andy Walker (3-24) from reduced Deddington to 99 all out.

Stanton got home in the 18th over, Joel Graham hitting an unbeaten 38. Swinbrook lost by 98 runs at leaders Kidlington. Waseem Azad hit 52 as Kidlington were all out for 143.

Nigel White took 4-43. But Swinbrook were shot out for just 45, thanks to Muhammad Usman (3-0) and Tom Bozman (3-15).

Three wickets apiece for Adam Shorten (3-3) and Tom Fillery (3-51) helped Uffington see off visitors Hailey by four wickets. Hailey were bowled out for 122, and then Giles Blanchard hit 43 to see Uffington to 123-6.

Minster Lovell 2nd moved up to second place in Division 5 after a two-wicket win at home to Charlbury 2nd.

The visitors set 156-7 in their 35 overs, Dave Cox hitting 51.

But Minster edged to victory at 160-8 as Elliott Crowther top-scored with 60.

West Witney crashed to an eight-wicket defeat at home to West Ilsley.

They were skittled out for 83 in a 33-over a side match as Wayne Lyford took 5-32 and Andy Brown 4-45. Adam Barnes then hit 43 not out to lead Ilsley to 86-2.
