Minster Lovell moved 40 points clear at the top of OCA League Division 1 as they saw off fellow title challengers Radley in Saturday’s thriller.

Minster won by two wickets to maintain their title bid, but were grateful to an outstanding knock from Angus Spittles to secure the win.

Batting first, Radley were bowled out for 185 as Wasim Mohammed top-scored with 70, while Leigh Smith took 4-37.

Minster, who had several first team players missing, lost regular wickets, but their innings was held together by Angus Spittles, who hit 82 not out to steer his side to a thrilling win.

At the other end of the table, Cowley Internationals picked up a crucial eight-wicket win at home to Chadlington in their battle to avoid the drop.

Asif Shah took 5-30 to help skittle Chadlington for 92, before Waheed Rehman (44no) and Hajji Sadiqi (42no) took Cowley to 98-2, winning the match with a six.

Stonesfield edged out Charlbury by nine runs.

George Redknap hit 78 in Stonesfield’s 229-5, before Charlbury were bowled out for 220, despite 69 from Stuart Atkins.

Westbury’s resurgence continued as they crushed hosts Oxenford by seven wickets.

Charlie Harper (3-48) helped to restrict the home side to 160- 7, and then Tom Wilson hit 76 to lead Westbury home at 162-3.

Witney Swifts crushed hosts Broughton & North Newington by eight wickets in Division 2.

Elliot Braggins took 4-28 for Swifts as they shot their hosts out for 141, before Max Godwin (47) and David Craig (34) saw Swifts home at 144-2.

A four-wicket haul from Jim McGeown helped Chipping Norton to a six-wicket win at Wantage.

McGeown took 4-24 as Wantage were rolled over for 122, and then Dan Stafford (38no) and David Brassett (32no) shone for Chippy as they reached 126-4.

Hanborough maintained their Division 3 title bid with a four-wicket win at Watlington.

Dismissing their hosts for 134, Matthew Neilsen (44) and Will Potter (43no) then saw Hanborough to 138-6.

Eynsham edged past visitors Fringford by two wickets.

Tom Prentice was the star, taking 5-36 in Fringford’s 106 all out, but Eynsham struggled to the winning line, Gary Cook’s 30 helping them to 110-8.

JACK Stimpson’s fine all-round display helped Dorchester to a six-wicket win at home to Stanton Harcourt in OCA League Division 4.

Stimpson took 4-36 in Stanton’s 178 all out, before hitting 51 to see Dorchester to 180-4, Conor Graney top-scoring with 54 not out.

A haul of 5-27 from Josh Woodley helped Marcham dismiss Hailey for 85 to seal a 48-run home victory for Marcham, but Ramesh Chennagiri took 5-25 as Deddington ran out 58-run winners away to Swinbrook.

James Stacey produced an outstanding performance as Sunningwell marched on at the top of Division 5 with a 168-run win at West Witney.

Stacey hammered 162 as Sunningwell racked up 280-8, Martin Clutterbuck taking 6-48 for the hosts.

Stacey then claimed 4-64 as West Witney were bowled out for 112, Anthony Harris returning remarkable figures of 4-1.

Second-placed Minster Lovell 2nd suffered their second straight defeat, losing by seven wickets at home to Hook Norton.

Twelve-year-old Dee Jarvis topscored for Minster with 33 not out, but 71 not out from Richard Knight saw Hooky to 144-3.

West Ilsley’s Adam Barnes topscored with 90 as his side beat visitors Charlbury 2nd by 175 runs.

Tom Scriven (77) and Wayne Lyford (64) also shone in West Ilsley’s 291-6.

Scriven then took 4-36 in Charlbury’s 116 all out.

In Division 8, a five-wicket haul from left-arm spinner Graeme Woodward helped Witney Swifts 2nd to an eightwicket win at Chadlington 2nd.

Woodward took 5-31 in 11 overs to restrict the home side to 143-9.

Edd Priest then hit 58 not out as Swifts cruised in at 147-2.

Ducklington thumped Minster Lovell 3rd by 171 runs after setting 267 all out.

Stuart Weston led the way with 90, before Jacob Hughes took 4-19 as Minster were shot out for 96.

Eynsham 2nd cruised into the final of the Keith Crump Centenary Cup with a 93-run victory at Deddington 2nd on Sunday.

Roland Margerison was the hero for Eynsham as he smashed a superb 164 in his side’s 262-7.

Deddington fell for 169, James Hazel taking 3-27.

They will play Kilkenny 2nd in the final at Hanborough on Sunday, August 2, who were handed a walkover by Marcham 2nd.

Witney Swifts lost by 59 runs to Wootton & Boars Hill in the semi-finals of the Osberton Radiators Cup.

Wootton posted 196, Rama Krishna Garimella topscoring with 43, with Danny Black taking 3-12 and Mark Horne 3-28.

However, Swifts were dismissed for 137, with Garimella (4-40) and Marcus Charman (3-47) doing the damage with the ball.
