YOUNGSTER Connor Tinsley shone for Minster Lovell to help his side back to the top of OCA League Division 1 with a thrilling 11-run win at home to Stonesfield on Saturday.

Tinsley hit 77 to help the hosts to 198 all out against their west Oxfordshire rivals, while Sean Holley claimed 4-62.

Stonesfield were always in the hunt, thanks largely to George Redknap’s 62, but tight bowling from Jack Simpson (3-44) helped to restrict the visitors to 187-9 to return Minster to the summit.

Doomed Chadlington lost again as they were beaten by 91 runs at home to Radley.

Matt Launchbury’s 86 not out led Radley to 240-8, before Chadlington slumped to 149 all out, despite 60 from Freddie Magee.

Charlbury’s Bimalka Liyanarachchi took 5-21 to help his side to a 58-run win at Oxenford.

Aizaz Khan top-scored with 43 in Charlbury’s 231-9 before the home side fell to 173 all out, Arunvinay Prabakaran hitting 57.

In Division 2, Josh Grant (59no) and Tom Davies (52) helped Witney Swifts to a 75-run victory at Wantage.

Swifts posted 211-6 and then bowled Wantage out for 136 as Max Godwin took 4-34 and Redd Pratley 3-27.

Matthew Neilsen smashed 116 and Daniel Simpson 60 as Hanborough ran out 95-run winners at Eynsham in Division 3.

Neilsen’s ton helped Hanborough to 261-6, before Dan Possee claimed 3-20 in Eynsham’s 166-9.

Hailey saw off hosts Swinbrook by 25 runs in Division 4.

Darren Harriss (69) helped Hailey to 205 all out, Glenn Evans taking 4-24.

Chris King (3-30) and Andy Green (3-42) then combined to dismiss the home side for 180.

In Division 5, records fell at Charlbury 2nd, where visitors Sunningwell amassed their best OCA score and produced a new highest partnership in the process.

After losing an early wicket, James Stacey (158) and Tom Harris (128) stole the show as they shared a second-wicket stand of 259, which helped their side to a massive 333-4.

Amidst the carnage, Barry Nutt claimed 3-62 for Charlbury.

Sam Baker then claimed 4-19 as Charlbury crawled to 126-9 in their 45 overs to lose by 207 runs.

Minster Lovell 2nd lost by 19 runs at West Witney.

Saurabh Mehrotra hit 90 and Omer Tariq 59 in West Witney’s 230-7, Minster being restricted to 211-7 in reply, despite 51 from Sean Hubbert.

Bampton stayed second in Division 6 with a seven-wicket win at home to Chipping Norton 2nd.

Michael Tompkins hit 67 not out in Chippy’s 135-9, but Ted Landray then scored 68 not out to lead Bampton home at 137-3.

Chippy lost by five runs at home to Faringdon 2nd on Sunday in a low-scoring clash.

After dismissing their visitors for 105, Chippy were 100 all out as Alan Johnson took 6-20.

In Division 8, a haul of 5-32 from Kane Lewis helped Ducklington to a five-wicket win at home to Combe.

Charlie Arber hit 86 not out in Combe’s 184, before Kieran McIntosh scored 69 to help the hosts to 187-5.

Stephen Cooper claimed 7-33 as Eynsham 2nd beat hosts Hanney 2nd by 69 runs in Division 9.

Eynsham posted 140-8, Sam May taking 5-19 for Hanney, who then crashed to 71 all out.
