GREAT & Little Tew Cricket Club picked up two more awards following their highly successful 2015 campaign.

While Tew’s first team won Division 2 of the Serious Cricket Home Counties League to gain promotion to the top fight, there was success further down the club.

At the Cherwell League presentation dinner on Saturday, Great Tew 4th skipper Joe Hummer received the Division 9 trophy from ex-Australia bowler Jason Gillespie.

Later, Great Tew 3rd XI’s Simon Priscott was presented with the cup for taking most wickets by a 3rd or 4th XI bowler in the league.

Priscott, who captured 45 wickets in Division 6, received his trophy from Jack Brooks, the Oxfordshire-born Yorkshire seamer, who helped Gillespie hand out the awards.

The dinner, which was held at Oxford’s Kassam Stadium, attracted 180 guests.
