JAMIE Trudgeon hit a spectacular 121 not out to help Witney Mills to a 132-run victory over Oxford 3rd in Cherwell League Division 4.

Trudgeon was the star of the show as Mills got their first win on the board, with a huge century in his side’s 268-7 declared in 50 overs.

Vivian Lobo claimed 4-8 and Steve Kelly 4-37 as Oxford crashed to 156 all out.

In Division 2, Sandford St Martin condemned Oxford 2nd to a crushing seven-wicket defeat.

Simon Smith took 4-25 as Oxford were bowled out for 162.

Kris Jones (46no) and Nick Leader (43no) led Sandford St Martin home in the 36th over at 165-3.

Oxford Downs and Great & Little Tew 2nd battled out a draw at Standlake.

Tew put the hosts into bat after winning the toss, and James Lauder (71no) and Amin Rafiq (53) shone to see Downs to a competitive 256-5 in their 53 overs.

Justin Parker top-scored with 68 in Tew’s reply, but they could not really threaten Downs’s total as they closed on 208-7, Johnny Law taking 3-46.

Shipton-under-Wychwood 2nd were comprehensively beaten by seven wickets at the hands of Didcot in Division 3.

Didcot skipper Jordan Morrison produced a masterful bowling display, claiming figures of 7-31 to dismiss visitors Shipton for just 144.

And the hosts eased to the target in just 27 overs, Simon Pritchard (35), Elliot Matthews (26) and Ian Demain (44no) helping Didcot over the line at 146-3 to secure victory.

Oxford Downs 2nd fared little better in their six-wicket defeat to Blewbury & Wallingford.

Batting first, Downs struggled to 170 all out as Scott Harris claimed 5-45.
