GEORGE French returned his best league figures of 7-24 to help Minster Lovell to an 89-run victory at Chipping Norton in OCA Division 1 on Saturday.

French’s haul saw the hosts dismissed for 91 as they failed to chase down Minster’s 180 all out, Nathan Harris and Jack Simpson both scoring 39.

In Division 2, Chadlington’s Steve Hunt took a hat-trick to help his side to a thrilling 15-run win at home to Wootton & Boars Hill.

Dan Townsend hit 30 in Chadlington’s 127 all out, before Rupert Townsend claimed 6-17 and Hunt picked up 3-28 in 12 overs – including a hat-trick – to dismiss Wootton for 112.

Ollie Pascoe’s spectacular 120 from 79 balls helped Stanton Harcourt to an 88-run win against visitors Hanborough in Division 3.

Pascoe’s knock pushed Stanton to 237-9, before Arun White (3-42) and Ryan Wastie (3-44) bowled well in Hanborough’s reply to dismiss them for 149.

Eynsham crushed hosts Kidlington by ten wickets.

Tom Prentice took 4-18 as Kidlington were tumbled for 94, before Dominic Coe hit 60 not out to lead Eynsham to 97-0.

Division 4 leaders Swinbrook had George Grace to thank for a five-wicket win at Minster Lovell 2nd.

Grace, who hails from the same family as the great WG, took 4-19 to help dismiss Minster for 158, before compiling a fine 82 not out to steer Swinbrook home at 162-5.

Edward Landray’s 61 was crucial in Bampton’s four-wicket victory at home to Kennington in Division 5.

He scored exactly half their 122-6, in reply to the visitors’ 120 all out, where Russell King took 4-34.

In Division 7, leaders Combe marched on after beating visitors Wootton & Boars Hill 2nd by six wickets.

Dave Gardner took 5-46 and Julian Chaundy 3-40 as Wootton were all out for 117, with Chaundy hitting 59 not out in Combe’s victory charge.

Daniel Burgess, 17, hit a superb 107 as Hanborough 2nd beat visitors Minster Lovell 3rd by 33 runs.

The knock led Hanborough to 188 all out, before Sam Walker claimed 5-43 in Minster’s 155 all out.

Ducklington racked up a massive 372 all out to thump hosts Stonesfield 2nd by 250 runs – the biggest winning margin so far this season.

Liam Day hit 130, Scott Summers 91 and George Townsend 73, before Kane Lewis claimed 4-36 and Townsend 3-23 as Stonesfield were bowled out for just 122.

Young Ashley Horne took 4-3 in four overs as Witney Swifts 2nd skittled out visitors Uffington 2nd for just 28, before wrapping up a nine-wicket win.

Stanton Harcourt 2nd edged out hosts Chalgrove by one run to stay top of Division 8.

Defending just 82, Scott Hambridge’s 6-26 saw Chalgrove fall for 81.

Clive Plant took five wickets and then top-scored for Hook Norton 2nd in their six-wicket win at home to Charlbury 3rd in Division 9.

Plant claimed 5-38 to help dismiss the visitors for 101, before hitting 36 not out to lead Hooky to 102-4.
