ANOTHER trip to Lord’s is the objective for Shipton-under-Wychwood when they visit Cookham Dean in the last 16 of the Davidstow Village Cup on Sunday.
If Shipton win three more matches in the competition, they will be making their fifth appearance at cricket’s HQ, having won there in 2002 and 2003 and having twice been beaten finalists.
Berkshire champions Cookham, like Shipton, play in Division 2 of the Serious Cricket Home Counties Premier League.
Their meeting earlier in the season ended in a draw, although Shipton are above them in the league table and will start the match as slight favourites.
