MINSTER Lovell picked up the first piece of silverware of 2016 after beating Great Horwood by six wickets in the OCA League’s Tony Pullinger Twenty20 Cup finals day at Kidlington.
Minster saw off Faringdon in their semi-final, while Horwood defeated Wolvercote to set up the finale on Sunday afternoon.
Horwood batted first and posted 145-5 from their 20 overs, with Stuart Parker top-scoring on 37.
But Minster made light work of the target, needing just 16.1 overs to reach 147-4 as youngster Connor Tinsley hit 43 and captain Nathan Harris 36.
