GREAT & Little Tew produced a brilliant run chase to beat Harefield by six wickets in Home Counties Premier League Division 1.

The hosts elected to bat, posting 251-9 from 64 overs.

But Tew raced to the total within 44 overs, Dain Moreton starring with 87 off 95 balls.

After Vijay was dismissed, Ian Bryan (4-79) removed Ollie Richards, while Ogden fell to leave them on 174-5.

George Shiel (36) and Dhavalkumar Norotam got the hosts back on course as they ended on 251-9.

Tew never looked in trouble in reply, with Moreton and Jordan Garrett (77) putting on 96 for the second wicket.

After Garrett fell, Moreton combined with Curtly Slatter (50no) for a 78-run stand.

Moreton was dismissed with Tew on 234-4, but Slatter and Ashley Hubbert saw them home.

Shipton-under-Wychwood were victims of a batting masterclass by Horspath’s Rameez Raja as they lost by two wickets in a tense clash at home to the Division 2 promotion contenders.

But as Horspath stuttered to 95-6, he stood firm to make 82 from 97 balls, with 17 fours.

And he took his side to within ten runs of victory before becoming Anupam Sanklecha’s fifth victim (5-54).

Earlier, Jamie Perkin had led the way in Shipton’s innings with 60 from 104 balls, which included a six and seven fours, while Sanklecha hit a breezy 37.
